Experimental legislations in India

Well, dynamism is a good force to achieve far reaching goals and get transformed into a successful nation. But what is happening in India is something else rather contrary. Dynamism needs to be backed with proper planning; this is what is lacking in current Indian scenario.

We have grown dynamic and want rudimentary makeup around us to get changed, but we have forgotten that being dynamic is not our motive in transforming India, our motive is to really transform the scenario in India, a result oriented goal.

What is happening is there is too much experimental legislation being bought up, this are claimed as symbol of dynamism. Legislation doesn’t show up its unintended results in two three days, if too many experimental legislations are bought up and when they begin to show up their unintended side effect it would really be too late for India to be able to recover.

I feel what is happening in India in name of dynamism is what Mohammed Bin Tughluq the Delhi Sultan had done in past and had to fail due to his experimental legislation. We need planning and testing, that is research and development in field of legislation, and develop a prototype before any legislation is fully implemented on entire nation. Legislation should not come up as result of acute public demand and public anger over some issue.

Experimental legislation should be given up, a planned researched and developed legislation which had been tested over a particular region be applied to entire nation. Our nation runs on public money and when experimental legislation which is finally taken back (annulled or challenged and stayed) results in wastage of public money, we are not in position to afford it now, so better take precautions, next time we come up with idea of experimental legislation due to public demand and public anger. Indian law has no provision for referendum, no need to fall prey to acute public demand and anger specifically if that demand and anger vanishes more acutely.

Narendra Modi, BJP’s PM project, Genocide and US

Rajnath Singh’s announcement of Narendra Modi as BJP’s PM candidate clarified how clear BJP’s administration is. Person like L K Advani who was deputy PM during ruling years of NDA is not even taking part in candidate’s discussion shows what democratic principles BJP talks about.

RSS, of which BJP distances itself several times and on several issues, gave dictat and Narendra Modi is unquestioned authority. Narendra Modi who drove the carriage of L K Advani’s Rath Yatra has walked further leaving the Rath (Charriot) behind, this has made L K Advani upset, who probably desired his name after all he was once deputy PM during NDA’s government.

Modi is accused of Gujarat Genocide which resulted in riots and lives of hundreds of people, Hindus and Muslims. Riots were purely communal riots, and Modi is accused of having parts in its instigation. While he was Gujarat’s CM and riots happened, the then PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee himself showed his disapproval of Modi’s administration. Now Modi would succeed a person like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, it is a shame.

Modi was denied entry into state of Bihar by Lalu Prasad Yadav. Oh! This is not the epitome; Narendra Modi has been denied the Visa of United States of America, all because of accusations. Modi is perfect failure as CM in gaining clear image in eyes of one and all. Riots happen but the CMs are usually not accused; usually because they are not seen involved, Modi is accused, this is a big image to depict Modi as failure.

Latest in news was JDU and Nitish Kumar broke their alliance of many years with BJP on Modi’s candidature, this they did to show they are not with those who are so communal, who speak so shameless words and compare people’s lives with dog’s lives. Amitabh Bachan, also took objection when his previous records were projected in Modi’s current advertisement. Modi also gave an impostor’s claim when he said he bought back 15000 Gujaratis only Gujaratis who were strucked in Kedarnath’s recent calamity. BJP is such a cheap party that in all its stock it didn’t got any other face as BJP’s PM candidate.

The celebration tried best to hide all these but Modi who few days back had once again given an impostors comment that he don’t desire PM’s candidature mesmerized in happiness as if he has already become PM or NDA has already won 2014 election. If Modi is RSS’ choice, RSS can itself contest election in its own name and project Modi as its candidate, why use BJP’s platform and hurt sentiments of BJP leaders like Advani and other alliance parties of BJP? Advani was right candidate for BJP, others who had been in ministry during NDA were also appropriate, but seems RSS would surely drown BJP this time. It will for sure help India, I don’t know whether to thank RSS or not.

Stricter legislation for rapists more harmful to raped women

Topic 60:

With the latest gang rape case in Mumbai (Bombay) the demand for a stricter legislation for rapists is on high. Death sentence, castration, bobbing, life imprisonment etc are demanded by various protesters in their dharna/ protest. Rape is a heinous crime, but in the end; safety to the life of victim should be main concern of law.

If death sentence is legislated for rapist, which rapist would leave his victim alive after rape? They would for sure kill the victim, because they would want to avoid all possibilities wherein their victim complaints to police, they get caught and in the end get death sentence.

Murder results in death sentence, if death sentence is legislated for rape, rape and murder will became same and therefore rapists would surely kill their victims. What is need of time; is not legislation for stricter and harsher laws, but proper and complete implementation of current laws.

BEST’s bus stops in front of shops in Mumbai

Topic 59:

There’s been this friction going around in Bombay between numerous shops and BEST. The reason being BEST’s bus stops in front of these shops needs to be looked at. BEST’s bus service is heritage as well as a necessity, on other hand objection by the said shops seems valid.

I would like to suggest this that since BEST’s stop already display various advertisements on stops, it would be better if stops which obstruct the view of shops allow banner/ signboard of the shop which it overshadows. It be made convention to allow the behind shop to display their signboard on display of stops.

Well, if whole signboard of behind’s shop could not be displayed due to some or other reason then at least 80% of display be accorded for display of the said shops. This would remove the obstruction of shops by bringing their identity on display, also would end the controversy.

However, they be for sole display of their own shop and could not be given up for rent/sale. Their taxes be proportional to the signboard on shop or be condoned. Thus, it would be beneficial to both archaic bus system of Bombay as well as convenient for shops.
